People with learning disabilities know the answer is not to dwell on their disabilities but to build on their strengths. First, focusing on positives takes the idea of stigma out of the conversation. Second, developing and growing strengths—no matter what they are—helps people feel markedly happier and less depressed in a matter of months, studies show.
Activists in Kinshasa, the capital of the Democratic Republic of Congo hosted the first fashion show for differently abled people on Friday April 19, to promote acceptance and removal of barriers that the disabled face in the country.
The world’s youngest country is subjected to brutal civil war that resulted in a rise of violence that puts those who are disabled in a dangerous place and eliminates their chances at receiving education. Advocating change has been difficult but it is definitely being implemented. Benson Murabak is one of the few disabled people who are a part of this movement towards a better and safer society.

Penyampaian pendidikan seks yang betul kepada kanak-kanak orang kurang upaya (OKU) terutama yang menghidap autisme membantu mereka menguruskan perkembangan dan keinginan seksual dengan lebih baik.
