Continuous efforts must be made to integrate the disabled (OKU) into our society and ensure they are not left out in any aspect, Federal Territories Minister Khalid Abdul Samad said. He said work was ongoing to make Brickfields a barrier-free neighbourhood and that such efforts would be extended to all of Kuala Lumpur.

Sprinter Muhd Ridzuan Puzi and swimmer Muhd Nur Syaiful Zulkafli are the two para athletes picked by Citibank as Malaysia’s ambassadors for the 2020 Tokyo Paralympics. Sarah Ezekiel loves colour. Her living room is filled with bright and joyful prints created by herself and others. “I like so many artists and they have influenced my work. I particularly like Modigliani, Kandinsky and Picasso,” she says. Ezekiel lives with motor neurone disease (MND), and is unable to move from the neck down. Her own art – which can take months to make – is created using eye-gaze technology.
