Walaupun lumpuh, seorang pesara polis tetap tidak melupakan tanggungjawabnya untuk membuat undi awal pada Pilihan Raya Kecil (PRK) Dewan Undangan Negeri (DUN) Rantau, hari ini. Azahari Latiff, 53, tiba di Balai Polis Rantau kira-kira 11 pagi dengan menaiki kenderaan pelbagai guna (MPV) dibawa anaknya, yang mana beliau yang hanya mampu berbaring, terpaksa dibawa masuk ke bilik mengundi menggunakan kerusi roda khas.

Malu dan tidak dapat menerima hakikat bahawa anak adalah orang kurang upaya (OKU) menjadi antara punca utama kebanyakan ibu bapa enggan mendaftarkan mereka sebagai murid berkeperluan khas (MBK) di sekolah kerajaan. Timbalan Menteri Pendidikan, Teo Nie Ching, berkata justeru kesedaran ibu bapa di negara ini masih rendah untuk menghantar anak terbabit ke Sekolah Pendidikan Khas atau Program Pendidikan Khas Integrasi (PPKI) dan Program Pendidikan Inklusif di sekolah kerajaan.
