Organiser hopes to raise RM250,000 from charity food fair

Eden Handicap Service Centre is organising its annual charity food fair on April 14 to raise funds for its various ongoing free services.

The fair will feature some 100 stalls selling home-cooked food, hawker fare, international cuisine, souvenirs and handicrafts among others from 9am to 2pm at the Han Chiang High School indoor stadium in Jalan Han Chiang, Penang.

A British Paralympic athlete says she is furious after she was asked to prove that she was disabled by an employee of budget airline EasyJet.

Sophia Warner, a 43-year-old track and field Paralympian who has cerebral palsy, was flying from Milan to London when an EasyJet worker raised doubts about her need for special assistance.

Bikers raise funds for people with disabilities

To help lessen the burden of people with disabilities, community policing group One Family Bikers raised RM11,000 at a charity event held at Lotus Desaru Beach Resort and Spa here. The group comprising more than 1,000 bikers from Singapore, Indonesia, India, Thailand and Malaysia, collected the funds during the One Family Bikers Charity and Gathering 2018 programme.
