THIRTY young disabled adults gathered in Bangi for the Selangor OKU Youth Leadership and Transformation Camp organised by the Selangor Action Council for the Disabled (MTOS).
Selangor state health, welfare, women empowerment and family committee chairman Dr Siti Mariah Mahmud said the camp aimed to teach participants to be leaders and advocates for the disabled as well as the general community. She said the conversation regarding the community had changed from welfare to their individual rights as Malaysians.
