THERE was no shortage of inspiration from the 99 intellectually disabled athletes who participated in the Special Olympics Unified Bowling Tournament with their 33 non-intellectually disabled teammates.
The unified tournament organised by the Special Olympics Selangor (SOS) was to celebrate Eunice Kennedy Shriver Day (July 17 to 21) – the founder of the Special Olympics movement – and to foster interaction between both camps (three intellectually disabled athletes and one non-intellectually disabled), as they competed as a team.
